During the year of 2017, I had the pleasure of enjoying several trips abroad including Portugal,Greece, Mexico,The Netherlands and South Africa.
I love travelling but every year my bank balance doesn’t.
With every holiday, i found i had less income to spend and after much investigation, I realised I was living wayyyyyyy out of my means. A coffee here, a cocktail there, a Dominos there.
So i cut a few things out…(Maybe not the Dominos :3) but even then it wasn’t enough to keep up with my wanderlust.
So i got my laptop once again and looked for 5 ways i could easily boost my income.
STEP 1: Low risk Matched Betting
I stumbled across this and have made a few emergency pounds. It takes a few mins to set up and get your head around but it’s very easy.
It’s completely legal, tax free and i feel if i can do it so can you.
Matched betting works by utilising the free bets offered by bookmakers. You sign up and get a certain amount of free bet then you place a bet and match it. That way you get no loss and the free bet back in cash.
I work full time but always have an evening or weekend free. I used to work in catering when i was in college so i’m always drawn back when i need more money. Particularly during Christmas.
Or…got a bicycle, motorbike or car? What about a Smartphone? That’s all you need to make some extra money by delivering food or people.
Sign up as an Uber driver and you can also apply to deliver with Uber Eats who are always on the hunt for new riders. They allow you total flexibility to work when you want, delivering food from restaurants to the customer’s door. You can make around £15 an hour.
Double-up your opportunities by directly contacting local takeaways and bigger chains like Dominos or Pizza Hut to see if they have any delivery jobs going.
STEP 3: Online jobs
Why not try working from home?
One option is to become a ‘Clickworker’. The Clickworker.com concept is based on ‘internet crowd-sourcing’ where businesses advertise specific tasks they need completing quickly.
There are a variety of tasks, but most commonly they involve mindless data entry, web research or form filling. You are paid in cash (via Paypal) for the work you do, and you can choose for what and when you work. Give it a go. [If you’re US based, also try Amazon’s ‘Mechanical Turk‘].
STEP 4: Sell your stories and videos
If you have an interesting story then you could try selling it to the papers. It could be anything from how you made your millions to losing weight.
A friend of mine catch her brother as their inflatable pool burst on camera and sent it to You’ve been framed. Easiest £250.
STEP 5: The Finale – set up a little side business
If you’ve got lots of unused junk, mountains of clothes or just have an entrepreneurial mindset. Why not try selling stuff on Ebay.
Some eBay sellers look at trends and try to predict what will be big ahead of the market. If you are good and don’t mind taking a risk then you can buy early in bulk and sell on when the craze hits.
Other websites to sell include Etsy and of course the heavy weight Amazon.
